Hey all,

So we just finished up our show in Kentucky at Freedom Hall tonight, and man what a great crowd. My favorite part of the night was when the little boy, Matthew, came on stage with Keith and played his guitar during "Kiss A Girl"- what a rock star! I found this YouTube video of Matthew playing the full version of "Kiss A Girl," and I don't know about you, but I am pretty sure this kid is going to make it big one day. Check it out HERE!

Okay, off to do some work. Next up: Nashville. See you all there.

-Jeff

My husband and I were in Louisville for the weekend and really didn't have specific plans, decided to go to the KY State Fair for the great Fair food and last minute discovered Keith Urban was playing so we were able to get tickets. I have always liked Keith and saw him for the first time as the surprise guest at the CMA in 2008, I was impressed but my husband wasn't as much as I was. All that has changed since the Louisville show. Our tickets weren't bad but not great either until Keith surprised us all by performing our favorite song at our end of Freedom Hall. He made the comment; "Who has the est seats now?" It was awesome and it made the hometown trip for me a very memorable one, Thanks! Awesome that Keith is so great with kids too, little Matthew isn't my child and I had tears of joy for him and his family, how proud they must be!

Louisville

This is by far the best thing I've ever seen any musician do at a live concert. I found a better clip posted on youtube if anyone's interested. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Jr2jQsHc5A8&NR=1

Thanks to you, Jeff, for the nice comments in your blog. Thanks to Keith for allowing Matthew the opportunity to play and sing onstage with him in Louisville. It will be a very special memory for all of us. He has become somewhat of a local celeb. Matthew has offered to play again "anytime, anywhere"...lol! Just let him know. Thanks again to all of you. Sincerely, Matthew's very proud grandma

WOW

Wow Jeff! Thanks for such kind words praising our son! Ltwin49, you are right. Perthes is very uncommon but we hope all patients with it find some way to help pass the time as Matthew did with his guitar. He actually had it bilateral which is even more rare... Hope your son is 100%! We had a great doctor at Vandy!

Go Mathew!

Very interesting read. Just shows you what a great guy Keith is too! I didn't know until I found it even more interesting that Mathew had Perthes disease. My son had it too. No one seems to know what it is when you mention it.
